Introduction
CalendarBG ("Backgrounds for Google Calendar") is a Chrome extension that allows users to customize their Google Calendar with background images. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Data We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo via Google OAuth. This is used to identify your account and manage your subscription.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage analytics (e.g., which features are used, search queries) to improve the extension. This data is not linked to your personal identity.
Google Drive Access
If you choose to use Google Drive photos as backgrounds, we request read-only access to your Drive files. We only access image files and never modify or delete any files. This access is used solely to display your photos as calendar background options.

- To provide and maintain the extension functionality
- To manage your subscription and trial status
- To improve the extension based on aggregate usage patterns
Data Storage
Your preferences (selected background, blur/brightness settings, favorites) are stored locally in Chrome's sync storage. Account data is stored securely in Firebase (Google Cloud).
